Thank you for making the best encoding software in the world! I have tried various versions of free and paid software and NONE come even close to this piece of genius. I love this software, its solved all my iPod video watching problems. Thanks!

Hi Jonathan,

EncodeHD is specifically for the MP4 format. WMV with 5.1 audio isn't possible with FFmpeg, although it is possible using Encode360 - which is a bit of a pain to install.

Adam Thursby did a good write-up of how to get it working on Windows 7 though. You can find it here: http://thedigitalmediazone.com/2009/05/21/encode360-still-a-great-solution/

Great software! And stable on Windows 7 too! WOW!

Would it be possible to include a PC WMV HD option, because this is the only converter Ive found that will convert the dreaded mkv! I would like to keep the HD resolution/quality and the 5.1 surround of the MKV file but just in WMV. Itll stream no problem then over my home network.

Hi,
thx for this cool encoding tool :)
What about integrating CUDA technology for faster encoding?
