Dan, you have triumphed again.

Thanks a lot for creating another easy to use program, I’ve been finding the .h264 conversion scene pretty daunting lately (demuxing and .avs scripts don’t like me, even after many hours of trying).

I’ve thrown a lot of different mkv files at it and it’s handled each one with ease, so no bugs to report yet!

Really appreciate your hard work.

Thanks for the quick reply. From what I have been able to find, the PSP supports a few different resolutions but it is very picky for the higher resolutions.

By default the PSP supports MP4 and h.264 @ 480×272 or lower resolution. (with recent firmwares)

It also supports 2 higher resolutions as well, 720×480 and 640×480. Apparently, the two larger sizes need to be encoded with CABAC entropy encoder (whatever that means).

Woops, I’d forgotten all about the PSP as a supported device! I’ll see if I can dig up the supported specs and get a profile together for the next release.

Thanks for the awesome piece of software Dan. Its great to see your clean, simple to use interface come over from encode360.

One question, I am trying to encode files for the PSP. What settings or advanced flags do you recommend? I have been searching google, but haven’t found any answers.

I tried using the Advanced Flags but it did not seem to work. I used exactly as listed above
-b 4000k (Note I did not use quotes) and the video’s bitrate is still 1300k. I must be doing something wrong. I have EncodeHD version 0.86 Beta.
