EncodeHD 0.72
Since I’ve gotten a grand total of 38 bug reports on the locale issue (nearly all from French users!), I’ve quickly fixed this issue and released EncodeHD 0.72. It’s available on the download page.
Incidentally, todays visitors to my site have jumped on average, 1000% !!!!
I’m pleased :)

mp4 movie files converted using your xbox360 auto setting are unplayable on the 360.
if you didnt know the 360 doesnt tell you why it just says its an unplayable format.
so i am not sure what is going on but i truly truly truly wish for you to drop this and simply expand on Encode360. make MP4 an option of encode 360
i can not offer you any more information about why the 360 woulodnt play the file, but it does work on a PC…. so, take that for what it’s worth….????
EncodeHD isn’t strictly for X360 and shouldn’t be viewed as a replacement for Encode360 since the output format is entirely different, and has a whole new set of advantages and disadvantages. If the MP4 limitations bother you, then stick with Encode360.
On the other hand, If you’d like to email me the EncodeHD log file, found in the temp folder – I can look into why it’s not working for you.

Regarding the x64bit FFMPEG, been searching for a while and all I can find is people having trouble trying to build it. – Im crossing my fingers you can do what others have failed to do.
Good luck.
Please don’t forget the Beta Status, the one man band and also the full time job he has.
More importantly, it is FREE !
Encode360 was great for the 360, but I have a PS3 – so EncodeHD is even better.
I have testing EHD since it’s first Alpha and the progress it has made, in such a short amount of time has been astounding. I now use it for all my films and tv shows.
Admittedly, I haven’t tested a 13GB MKV file, but I will be now.
Keep up the great work bud !
