Encode360 2.02
Okay, so it looks like I’ve finally gotten all of the x64 issues sorted. Well, kinda. The installer and app itself should no longer look for or require Windows Media Encode x64 – it should solely require the x86 version. This is because WME x64 does not contain the same automation components as the x86 release and so it cannot be used by Encode360. The good news is, WME x64 doesn’t give any performance increase over the x86 version so people shouldn’t be disappointed.
Changelog and download link are in the Encode360 section

i use encode360 a ton! i even told the on10.net team about you when they were talkin about their win media encoder… one day i tried to use it and it just stopped working.. it doesnt matter what file type im tryin to convert. it even happens when i tried to JUST use wmc directly.
when i use wmc ..
.mov “one or more codecs required to open this content could not be found.(0xc00d1b83)
.mp4 “one or more codecs required to open this content could not be found.(0xc00d1b83)
.avi seems to work fine..
when i use enc360..
.mov “[error] class_encoder/encoderstart/encoderprepare: one or more codecs required to open this content could not be found.” >>i click ok >>”[error] encode events/subencode_processfiles: an error occurred while encoding this file”
.mp4 “[error] class_encoder/encoderstart/encoderprepare: one or more codecs required to open this content could not be found.” >>i click ok >>”[error] encode events/subencode_processfiles: an error occurred while encoding this file”
.avi again .avi seems to work fine.
i never had a problem with .mp4′s every once and a while i would have a prob with .mov files.. but would be like.. 1 in 20 or so.
btw.. heres the link to the on10.net shout out, i think i emailed you about it before even…

H.264 MP4
ty for all your help.. i really love using enc360, and i hope you can help me get it back up and running. ty again.
oh ps.. i just tried using it to convert .mpgs and it works fine.
Think you can send me a link to one of these MP4′s ? I suspect the audio might be AAC. K-Lite seems to have striped out CoreAAC in favour of libfaad2 which doesn’t seem to play well with WME. This would explain why encoding using the WME interface or WMCmd isn’t working either.
I suspect we can get this working again, but will probably require an additional codec to be installed (CoreAAC) :(
