Encode360 Source Available
It’s been a while coming, but I’ve finally managed to get a Subversion respository up and running and the Encode360 source code released. You can access the respository with an SVN client such as TortoiseSVN or AnkhSVN. The address is svn://svn.dcunningham.net:443. By default, everyone has read access to the repository, but for the moment, I’ll remain the sole commiter.
Currently, everything is checked into the Trunk directory, and this is the same release as b6a1. In order to compile, you’ll need VB.NET 2005, and Windows Media Encoder installed. Someone with an x64 version of Windows should be able to compile against the WME x64 Interops, and I’m hopefully that someone with experience with late-binding might be able to help sort out the immediate .NET crash and either provide more a more detailed error message on using the wrong version, or better yet, implement a method to use the correct interops based on whichever version of Windows you’re running.
Please excuse the lack of code-commenting, and there’s bound to be a number of coding WTF’s. I apologise in advance, but I’ve had limited time over the past few weeks, and I’m not a pro-coder in my day job
If anyone has questions about areas of the code, trouble compiling, or anything like that, please post in the Encode360 Development forum (which is new).
Cheers, Dan.
